I visited Reef Haven Belize in March 2026 on a solo trip, and it was exactly what I needed. The location is close to the beach but still quiet, making it easy to relax and recharge. The atmosphere felt welcoming, and the staff were kind and attentive without being intrusive. My room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view that made mornings special. For a solo traveler, the value was excellent, I felt safe, cared for, and free to enjoy my own peace. I’d recommend Reef Haven to anyone looking for a peaceful solo getaway.

Spent a week with family. Quiet very laid back Resort away from the crowds . Good food and great service. Currently fighting the Sargassum but they work every day to clean it and it is across the entire Caribbean. Would recommend it

If you are looking for a very chill resort this is the place. Located 12 miles north of San Pedro, Belize. It’s a bit of an adventure to get to the resort but once you are there it’s all worth it. Uncrowned pools with lots of activities. Great food and friendly staff.

This is a well maintained all-inclusive resort in a quiet part of the caye. We appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. The pool was great as were the rooms and the service. The front desk helped us organize tours and everyone was very pleasant. We played pickleball and used the new gym. Breakfast was great, dinner was so-so. Drinks were good. The one downside is that the 20-30min boat ride to San Pedro, to join a snorkeling tour or simply to have dinner in town, costs $30 per person. Given how remote it is, and that we were 3 in our group, this is a cost you should consider.

I will say the resort is stunning and has all the makings of a fabulous place. However, there is unfortunately a LOT of false advertising. 1. The resort is NOT located in San Pedro. It is a 1+ hour drive north on a sketchy road or a 30min boat ride. This is disclosed AFTER you book. The remoteness is nice but it would be nice to know ahead of time. If you want to leave the resort you must pay a boat fee EACH WAY or rent a golf cart. 2. They advertise 5 restaurants. FALSE. There are 5 menus for 1 restaurant. they all come out of the same kitchen. With this resort being so remote you are going to want to get away just to get some meal variety. 3. The 2 bedroom oceanfront cottages advertise on the website as 1 king bed and 1 queen with a queen pullout sofa. FALSE. There are no units with 2 king beds on the resort. 4. We were give a list of all-inclusive liquors. When ordering said inclusive liquors, the bartender told us nope, that one is not included. I know some of this may seem petty or entitled, but all I ask is honesty. And when things get revealed… compensate accordingly. Be transparent with your guests. Consumers have many options. I think this one is officially off my list. Please note… these issues are NOT THE ERROR OF THE STAFF. This is a management problem. The staff and people of Belize are some of the kindest people I have ever encountered. And the resort staff were top notch!! They just didn’t have any control to help us with our complaints.

Mrs and I wanted a quick getaway. We selected reef haven for a number of reasons. Oceanfront room, all inclusive and a nice looking beach. Reading reviews some people just there were ripping the resort because of a lot of sea **** in the beach. Will it’s that season. Any thing on the south side had seaweed that we saw. They had a crew of like 6-7 guys out there every day trying to keep up. Because of it we just went to secret beach on the north side. . No seaweed there. The room was nice and comfy. The food was good. The one negative the menus never changed. They also never had any specials. The main restaurant had its breakfast and dinner menus. The swim up bar had a lunch menu and the third bar did ribs, chicken etc on the grill. Plus a room Service menu. You won’t starve but a change up be a good idea. The staff was wonderful. They keep the resort in very good shape and were very friendly to the guest. One last thing was this was a margaritaville resort until Dec of 25. We were there only 90 days or so after the change. I’m sure as this resort evolves I’m pretty sure they will adjust some things.

Receptionist met us at the boat and a server met us at shore with a rum punch. Nice touch. The staff was very nice and attentive. Good food. Beautiful grounds. Quiet. Relaxing. I love all-inclusives!

We are semi residents of Ambergris Caye and we decided we’d take my visiting in laws to RH for a nice long day of all inclusive activities. RH sent a boat to our pier to pick us up. We enjoyed a nice ride on the beautiful waters on the way up. We were greeted with a tasty round of rum punch and total white glove service. The grounds are flawless and beautiful. The main pool was sort of our home base (my in laws are 80 so not super active). There’s a great pool side bar at that pool. There’s a second secluded pool as well which is a gem. My wife and I kayaked and snorkeled. The waters up there are really nice. Very low boat traffic and some nice coral to attract fish. We ate and drank EVERYTHING!! The difference between RH and other all inclusive places we’ve been is that every meal is made to order and delicious! Most places have a limited set menu and feel sort of like a buffet. Here you get real menus and they are great. We had massages at the spa, considered playing pickleball (another cocktail won that argument) and just enjoyed ourselves. They have different types of activities going on like yoga, bingo, live music at night. It’s different each day. The rooms are really nice, think Tommy Bahama. Perfect vibe. We got a boat ride home during a beautiful sunset. It was excellent. For four of us it cost a little more than a half day of my father in law and I fishing but we had three excellent meals, unlimited drinks and access to all of the great activities. It’s really a great value. The staff is wonderful, but that’s Belize. The people are the best. We’d highly recommend Reef Haven and will definitely be back!
